For cycling lovers the month of July is, surely, the year’s most special. At last it’s time for afternoons watching the big race on television, as you thrill to the attacks of your favourite cyclists and follow the time differences in the standings.
There are so many memories that come to mind: Indurain’s descent of the Tourmalet to catch Rominger, Pantani’s attack under the rain on the Col du Galibier, the battle between Contador and the Schlecks, Hinault’s winning sprint, Perico’s late time trial… who has never dreamed of starring in of one of these epic moments on the roads of France? How many times have you imagined yourself riding down the Champs Elysees in the yellow jersey?
This year you will experience the Tour like never before!
The #TourBkool is here
After the success of the #GiroBkool, which drew over 1,200 participants, now comes the most eagerly-anticipated competition of the year: our virtual edition of the world’s premier bike race.
Only two days after the start of the actual race, the #TourBkool will start next July 9 and run for the next three weeks. The last day to complete the stages of the League will be on the 29th.
Meanwhile, 3 real stages will coincide with the routes of the 6th, the 12th and the 18th stages of the French classic. As you can see, these are Thursday stages, so, if you decide to complete the stages of our Multiplayer Challenges, you will do so at the same time as the professional cyclists, and on the same routes.
As we discussed, our League will be divided into 3 stages, and you will have a total of 3 weeks to complete them. Specifically, we are talking about the 6th, 12th and the 18th stages of the actual race.
These three different routes were chosen to capture the very best of this spectacular race, adapting it to all kinds of riders. Of course, you will have to really sweat if you want to conquer the legendary Alpe D’Huez. This is the Tour!
The sponsors and their gifts
This is the biggest race in the world, and we wanted to surround ourselves with top brands to make our League even more attractive.
Just for taking part in our Challenges you will be entered in a drawing for some Planifica tus pedaladas nutrition packs, Siroko cycling sunglasses, complete kits from Atika Sport, and even a Towcar bicycle rack. And, as if that weren’t enough, all Bkoolers who finish in the League’s top 100 will be entered in a drawing for a personalised training plan designed by the great Chema Arguedas.
Not bad for just three weeks of competition, right?
