Sports and cycling fans will be able to enjoy the route of the 99<sup>th<\/sup> edition of the Volta in their living rooms, with a trainer and s<a href=\"https:\/\/premium.bkool.com\/en\/volta\">imulator that will recreate the course over the roads used by this race.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bkool is an Official Supplier of the Volta, and along with Volta organizers, has come up with a contest to incentivize and improve the user experience. Using the software developed by Bkool, cyclists will experience the hard conditions, hills included, of the 99<sup>th<\/sup> edition of the Volta <a href=\"https:\/\/premium.bkool.com\/en\/volta\">in an online competition, prizes and all.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through\nthis partnership, the Volta, which was first run in 1911 and is the third\noldest stage race in the world, after the Giro d\u2019Italia and the Tour de France,\nmanages to bridge the gap to the new technologies and enhance the interest in\nthe race, which this year will bring together riders like Chris Froome,\nAlejandro Valverde, Romain Bardet and many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe\nVolta is competition, history and tradition, but agreements like this one show\nit is also modern and adaptable to current times. We also want to reach a\nyounger audience, one that practices cycling,\u201d stated the President of the Volta\nCiclista a Catalunya, Rub\u00e8n Peris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/magazine.bkool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/sesion-virtual-volta-cataluna-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1486938\" width=\"568\" height=\"361\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor\nBkool it\u2019s a huge step to offer its platform to races the likes of the Volta in\norder to organize an online version of a World Tour race. Being a simulator of\nactual cycling routes, staging a virtual competition based on the route of a\nprofessional race is exciting for us,\u201d says Javier Cepedano, Bkool\u2019s Marketing\nDirector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a database of over 100,000 users, cyclists registered on the Bkool simulator will be able to compete virtually against other riders in a recreation of the first six stages of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, during <a href=\"https:\/\/premium.bkool.com\/en\/volta\">an event that will take place from March 6 to 22. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nbest cyclists in this virtual challenge will be rewarded by attending the final\nstage of the Volta, the Barcelona stage in Montju\u00efc, and submit to a challenge\nat the Bkool stand at the finish line, with the top three finishers receiving a\nBkool Smart Air trainer.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Volta thus becomes the first UCI World Tour race to have a virtual version, offering a new experience to Bkool users. A great option for facing off virtually against cyclists like Froome, Valverde and Bardet.
