With the start of La Vuelta, Spain is in the spotlight on the cycling calendar, and to make you feel like a pro riding through this amazing country, at BKOOL we’ve prepared a very special event for you: Made in Spain: Best Routes Challenge.
This 3-week event brings you 6 routes where you can feel the adrenaline of competing in a grand cycling race while discovering some of Spain’s most iconic corners: from climbing legendary mountains such as Angliru to riding through the northern landscapes, reaching the Canary Islands and finishing in its capital, Madrid.
Which stages make up the Made in Spain: Best Routes Challenge?
Each stage is designed to give you a different experience: from legendary climbs that test your endurance to spectacular landscapes that make you feel as if you’re riding in the heart of the mountains or along the sea. Get ready to live the thrill of virtual cycling with routes full of history, beauty, and challenge.
• August 23 to 26: North of Catalonia – Heading to Andorra 15.1km
A route that combines the charm of the Pyrenees with Catalonia’s cycling spirit. You’ll face tough climbs, enjoy mountain views, and feel like you’re approaching Andorra, one of the cycling paradises.
• August 27 to 31: Andorra 6km
A short but intense route. Andorra is synonymous with demanding passes and high mountain roads. In this stage, you’ll ride through breathtaking mountain landscapes that will test your power and technique.
• September 1 to 4: Biscay 12.4km
A route with the flavor of northern Spain: green roads, stunning nature, and landscapes that will not leave you indifferent.
• September 5 to 7: Angliru 15.2km
The most legendary climb of La Vuelta a España. Its slopes are a true test even for experienced cyclists. Here you’ll feel what it means to overcome one of cycling’s greatest challenges.
• September 8 to 11: Canary Islands 13 km
One of the most spectacular stages of this challenge. The volcanic terrain of the islands and their winding roads will take you to a truly unique setting. You’ll climb slopes carved into volcanic rock and descend stretches overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
• September 12 to 14: Madrid 41.4km
The grand finale and the longest stage of the event. Here you’ll put to the test all the endurance you’ve built in previous weeks. The route simulates the experience of riding through the capital. Completing this stage will not only mean overcoming the challenge but also completing a true journey through Spain on your indoor bike.
