RECOMMENDED ROUTES
CHICAGO LAKEFRONT TRAIL. UNITED STATES
Enjoy this great 29 km session. It’s quite flat, and runs along the Chicago Lakefront Trail. Pedal on the western shore of Lake Michigan, visiting Lincoln Park, Grant Park, Burnham Park and Jackson Park. A tour popular among cyclists in Chicago that you can now enjoy too, thanks to the video by BTooz.
EIDENBERG- GRAMASTETTEN – UNTERGENG. AUSTRIA
An intermediate-difficulty session of 21 km in which you’ll ride in the Austrian state of Oberösterreich. With a first part that’s downhill, at the Km. 6 mark you’ll begin to climb, racking up 468 m. You’ll find some grades of over 13%, but don’t let them daunt you, as you’ll have some stretches to catch your breath too.
Tour the Swedish province of Dalarna with this video route that Tommy shared with us. Starting from the city of Östanvik, you’ll head south towards Rättvik, along the shores of Lake Siljan, where you’ll end up pedalling 41.5 km and climbing 329 m. A ride that shouldn’t be too tough, but whose long distance can wear you down if you don’t pace yourself.
AKAROA TO LITTLE RIVER. NEW ZEALAND
In this 29-km session you’ll experience the most important volcanic formation on the South Island of New Zealand: the Banks peninsula. Starting at sea level, you will take on a series of short but demanding climbs, until the town of Duvauchelle, where you can look forward to a climb of 6 km, with an average grade of 8%. On the second half of the ride you’ll descend to Little River.
Happy cycling!
